League Updates

The Wisconsin Interscholastic Cycling League has been busy planning for 2023 as well! Check out our RACING info and add our WI League Race dates to your calendar! Here’s a quick pro-tip from our seasoned MTB families: If you know your student athlete is going to participate in a race event, you may consider booking lodging soon. Many local hotels will fill quickly as NICA riders register across the state.

In addition to races, the league is also hosting several adventure camps and events. For those athletes looking to have fun, extend their season, and ride with others from across the state, take a look! Visit the WI League site now.

Join Driftless MTB as a volunteer!

Ride along with us!

Parents and family: did you know that we have volunteer positions and needs other than on-the-bike coaching? We have a variety of organizational, logistical, and creative needs that don’t require you to be confident on a mountain bike! Join us as a volunteer - see our VOLUNTEER PAGE to learn more about the many ways you can contribute your talent to Driftless MTB, on and off the bike.

Do you know someone else who has enthusiasm, energy, and is a great role model for kids? Send them our way!

Coaches & Team Directors

We are excited to welcome a new team director and head coaches for Middleton! Christa Klute-Sime will be leading the charge as team director and Alex Kovell and Ian Gallo will both be head coaches. As always, our volunteer coaches work cooperatively and share their time, energy, MTB skills, and wisdom across our three Driftless MTB teams. All of our riders and families will get to know Christa, Alex, and Ian.

Em Meier, Dirk Horne, and Brad Kerl will continue in their roles as team directors for Waunakee, Mount Horeb, and Head Coach for Waunakee, respectively. Our three team directors will work with head coaches to share responsibilities for running the Driftless MTB teams as we grow and add even more athletes to our roster!

Parents and families: We are looking for more coaches! Check out how to become a coach here. You don’t need to have any experience to join us as a coach! We will welcome you and train you!

Current coaches: Let us know if you’d like to “level up” your NICA Coach Licensing! We will do whatever we can to support you this spring. Coach scholarships are available through the Wisconsin League.

Questions? Please reach out to your TEAM DIRECTOR and HEAD COACHING TEAM for more information! We’re excited to ride bikes with you!
