I am a parent and do not coach, how can I access TeamSnap?
If you are listed as a parent in PitZone then you will receive an email invite automatically once your child accepts their invite. If you have not received an invite or if your child will not be creating an account. please contact info@driftlessmtb.org.
Why do I need another app?
We hope to simplify and streamline communications by housing our emails, messages, posts, calendar, volunteer signups and other team details all in one place.
What in the hey are all these “teams” that I have been invited to?
Mountain bike racing is not your typical sport and our structure is fairly different than, say, a travel soccer league. We had to get creative. Think of each “Team” as a communications channel that also houses relevant calendar events, contact lists, etc. If a practice is only for Mount Horeb, for example, only Mount Horeb team members will see that practice on their calendar. If they all start messaging each other about going to culvers for ice cream afterward, the rest of us that are not a part of the Mount Horeb won’t have FOMO. Below is a breakdown of the different teams that you should see that you are a part of depending on your role on the team. Please reach out to coachian@driftlessmtb.org if you do not see one of these teams in the app.
Do I need to mark my availability for all events?
Short answer is “Yes!”. It is immensely helpful to know how many riders and coaches to expect at any given event.
How can I set the availability for both myself as a coach and my kids who are participating on the team?
Mobile app: When selecting a team, you will be presented with the option of say: Your Name (as Your Name) or Your Name (as your child’s name). Changing this selection allows you to submit aavailability appropriately.
Web app: Once logged in, in the top right you will see a button “Viewing as: _____”. Clicking on this and changing the selection allows you to submit availability for different users associated with your account.
Managing Notifications
By default you will receive both emails and mobile notifications for things like event reminders, team emails, schedule changes, volunteer assignments, etc.
You can opt out of emails by:
Following the link at the bottom of each email from TeamSnap
In the mobile app “More” in the bottom right>Notification Preferences>Email Notifications. Note that these settings are Team specific.
Muting chat conversations
Open the chat and tap the bell in the top right. Select the amount of time the chat should be muted for.
iOS: From the lock screen, swipe from the right on the notification>Options>Select desired option.

How can I see all the events across all my teams in one place? Can I add the TeamSnap calendar to the calendar app on my phone?
You can view and subscribe to a combined calendar for all teams by following this process.
If you are adding the calendar to a Google Calendar:
Copy the URL under “All games and events”.
Open your google calendar in a browser window.
Tap the + next to “Other Calendars” and select “From URL”
Paste the URL into the text box and select “Add Calendar”. Your TeamSnap events should not appear on all calendar apps that you have your google account added to.
If you are adding the calendar to iCalendar
Click on the “Subscribe to this Calendar” button and designate iCalendar as the app you want to use.
I was added to the Driftless Race Weekend “Team” and the Driftless Adventure Weekend “Team” but I do not intend on attending those events. How can I prevent my phone from blowing up with information that I do not need?
1) Race and Adventure weekends are super fun and if you have never attended one we encourage you give them a try!
2) If you do not want to receive communications for teams that are not relevant to you you have a few options: leave the team, mute the chat for that team, or mute all notifications for all teams (you will have to manually re-enable these).
I cannot get the availability page (or other part of the TeamSnap site) to load in the web app.
If you have an adblocker, disable for TeamSnap and reload the page. If that does not work follow these steps:
Clear your browser cache, then close and re-open your browser window. For instructions on clearing the cache for your specific browser type, see http://www.refreshyourcache.com
Restart your computer
Try a different browser (if you use Chrome, try Firefox, and vice versa)
If the issue persists, check if you use any Ad-blocker. If so disable it.
If issues persist please use the “Help and Support” icon in the bottom right of the page on TeamSnap’s site or use the availability feature in the mobile app.
My child does not have a phone or will not be setting up their own account and the invite emails were sent to them.
Please reach out to Ian (coachian@driftlessmtb.org) with the email address that the invites should be sent to and he will resend them to the correct address.
I accepted all my invites but I am not seeing all of those teams listed in the mobile app:
Log out of the app and log back in. If the issue persists reach out to Ian (coachian@driftlessmtb.org).
Should I add my photos to TeamSnap?
Please don’t! The interface does not allow for bulk export. If you want to share photos with the rest of the team throughout the season please use our shared Google Photos Album.
How will I know what I can help with for a given event?
For many events you will see “Assignments”. If any of these are available please don’t hesitate to sign up! We will likely send out email reminders about these assignments as the events get closer.
