Mid-August Updates
Hello all!
Here are some updates for your next few weeks of riding with Driftless MTB. Please read for more info about some changes to practice this week, along with final info about how to reserve a campsite with our team at each race.
Before we jump in, though: we are still receiving emails asking about practice locations; please reference our team calendar for this information. Each event has detailed location intel including GPS/map links. Our practice locations change REGULARLY. Team directors and head coaches may not be able to respond to day-of emails asking about locations! We want to make sure everyone knows where to go, so please use the calendar!
TUESDAY 8/16 AFTER PRACTICE: Join Coach/Team Director Dirk and Coach Lucas for a quick race info meeting for families in the parking lot at Blackhawk at 7:30 p.m. — they will cover race-weekend basics and answer any questions you may have!
SAFETY DAY: This Thursday will be SAFETY DAY for each team! We will learn about risk management and safety on the trail from our local EMS and first responders. Please reference the calendar for your team to view your practice location; riders will not be on bikes for the first part of practice, but we may ride after our safety workshop is complete, so please bring everything that student atheltes need to hit the trails.

CAMPING: If you are interested in camping, we have created a system for making reservations through our team website. Families who wish to camp are responsible for knowing the league camp rules and for booking a site for each race weekend that they wish to camp. All reservations for camping MUST be made by the Sunday before the race weekend. If you do not reserve your site by the deadline, you are not gauranteed a spot and are responsible for finding your own campsite/lodging. Click the button below to reserve your campsites!
*Please note: ALL reservations can be made at the same time through our website with the exception of Race #2 (Sept. 10-11) - this event takes place in a Waukesha County Park (Minooka Park) and campsites must be booked through the Waukesha County Parks Department. We apologize for the inconvenience.
