Practices continue Tuesday/Thursday @ 5:30-7:30 through Oct. 19 — Don’t forget your bike light!
CycloWHAT?! Cyclo-cross! Join in on the fun from October 13 – 15, 2023, at Trek Bicycle Headquarters in Waterloo, where there will be food, drinks, festivities, and plenty of bike racing. Anyone can participate/volunteer! Trek hosts the 2023 Trek CX Cup and World Cup Waterloo at Trek Headquarters. While you’re there, volunteer to support NICA in a really simple way! The league is looking for folks aged 21+ to work as servers in the beer tents. All the tips go to the league, which helps raise thousands of dollars. After your volunteer shift, enjoy the racing, food, merch tents, and the entertainment/fun hospitality that Trek always provides. Sign up here for a shift!

EVENT WEEKEND: STATE CHAMPIONSHIP @ TREK TRAILS IN WATERLOO!! *OCT. 21-22*
If you’re new to racing and you’re thinking about joining the fun at the last race of the season, please reach out with your questions! Recall, you can pre-ride the course on Saturday (10/21) at no cost! If you decide to race, you can register as late as 1 hour prior to your staging time on Sunday! As always, check out the Event Guide for lots of info, as well as our racing FAQs!
CAMPING REGISTRATION: This venue is absolutely drivable, but there’s something to be said about camping with fellow MTBers! If you’d like to register to camp, make sure not to miss the camping registration deadline THIS WEEK WEDNESDAY (10/11).
RACE REGISTRATION: Remember that race registration closes TUESDAY (10/17) at 11:59pm! You can still register at the venue, but wave placement moves to the back of the waves. Log into Pit Zone to register.
NEW PUMP TRACK: The new pump track at Trek is HUGE, multidirectional and a hard surface. It is loads of FUN!! Please note that the Pump Track....
will be fenced so there is one point of entry and one point of exit only.
will be open only during scheduled, monitored times on Saturday. Sunday is race day - be out there cheering on your team!
will only be open to NICA registered athletes and coaches with a number or coach plate on their bike.
will be open to up to 10 riders at a time in 5-minute increments. (Ride for 5, a whistle blows, riders exit and 10 new riders enter). Riders may return to the line for additional riding time.
does not require team-led riding. Athletes can ride on their own under the supervision of pump track monitors.
Safety is our priority and we are asking everyone to be respectful of Trek, the League, and the pumptrack expectations. We trust our riders to meet the expectations but those who choose not to are subject to individual or team penalties as per NICA’s Code of Conduct and the NICA Handbook.
COACHES: Please help us open this super fun opportunity to our athletes and coaches by signing up for a 1-hour slot to monitor and organize the pump track.

At Trek, we’ll be celebrating our SUPER athletes and coaches with an all-out SUPER HERO theme!! (Just make sure your garb is safe for riding…capes & spokes don’t mix!)

It’s a par-tay!! In an airplane hangar!! The Whyte family from Waunakee is kindly hosting our 2023 Driftless Team Season End Party again! All athletes, coaches, and their families are invited to our final season event on Thursday, November 2, 2023. Doors open at 5:30 PM, Potluck Buffet at 6:15 PM, and Program at 6:45PM. We’ll come together, eat, drink, brag about “sending it”, celebrate our amazing NICA season, and say “goodbye” until next year. Please RSVP here.
