Week 3: MOVING RIGHT ALONG!
Hello Driftless MTB families! We hope you had a fantastic weekend! Our initial Skills Assessment has been completed, and we’re off and running with the season!
NAMe tags!
***Please ask your child to KEEP the name tag they were given.*** This is the one with the number on it. We used these for the Skills Assessment, and we’ll need them again for our 2nd Skills Assessment on August 10. Without these name tags, it’s challenging to quickly identify a rider coming through (often at a fast pace), and still have enough time to write who they are, along with detailed, accurate notes. Additionally, we have several duplicate names on our rosters!
Actually, we’d love it if they used the name tags at each practice. We have LOTS of riders, and they don’t always ride with the same coaches. The name tags are very helpful in learning everyone’s names. Thank you!
TEAM SNAP UPDATES
For ease of use, you may have noticed we’ve moved both Tuesday and Thursday practice information to your respective TEAM schedules. By doing so, you won’t have to check both the Driftless schedule and your team schedule to find practice information. We appreciate your patience as we learn how to best use the TeamSnap app to fit the unique needs of our teams! Please remember to help us by indicating your availability for practices/events as far in advance as possible. NICA requires specific coach:athlete ratios, so knowing your availability is especially helpful in this regard.
Need to leave practice early?
If your child needs to leave practice early, please inform the trailhead coaches when your child checks in so we’re aware and can plan accordingly. Please also ask your child to inform their ride leader.

Middleton/Waunakee practice @ Park Elementary on Tuesday 7/25: Please remember not to use the parking lot or front driveway at the school. Please walk your bikes in these areas. Parking, drop-off and pick-up should be on the street.
